Dreaming of a country wedding in the Central West? Whether you're local or coming up from Sydney, here's what to think about when you start planning, and how it all works at Clifton Woolshed.
Getting here
Clifton Woolshed is at Locksley, just 20 minutes from Bathurst and under three hours from Sydney. It's close enough for an easy trip, but far enough to feel like a real escape to the country. Many guests love making a weekend of it in and around Bathurst.
How many guests?
Our Woolshed seats up to 130 guests at long tables under the fairy lights, and there are no minimum guest numbers. That means it works just as beautifully for an intimate celebration as it does for a big country wedding.
Weekend, mid-week or elopement
Saturday is the classic choice, but it isn't the only one. Our mid-week packages and mid-week elopement option give you the same venue on a quieter day, which can be a great way to make your budget go further.
Food and drinks
You can bring in your own licensed caterer or choose one from our preferred vendor list. A $300 bond applies for caterers who aren't on our list. Our bar is run by our own team under the venue's liquor licence, with a range of beverage packages to choose from, so there's no BYO alcohol.
Accommodation on site
Clifton's Quarters, our restored 1828 convict-built accommodation, is right beside the Woolshed. The bride and bridesmaids can stay and get ready together the night before, and on the wedding night the quarters are yours as newlyweds. Extra nights can be added at an additional cost, subject to availability.
Help with the planning
Every wedding at Clifton Woolshed includes Clifton Wedding Coordination, valued at $2,200. If you'd like more support, our Planning Plus and Wedding Concierge options take care of even more of the details, so you can enjoy the lead-up instead of stressing about it.
